Fintan McCollom Art

This piece was my first making a phrase into a symbol. This one is a quote from Andy Goldsworthy in his documentary “Rivers and Tides.” The quote is, “I have not simply made the work to be destroyed by the sea. The work has been given to the sea as a gift, and the sea has taken it and made more of it than I could have ever hoped for.” Andy Goldsworthy is a great inspiration to me, both in his words and in the fluidity of his artwork, which greatly impacted my style for this work.
